Hello, everyone, I would like to welcome each of you and invite you to make comments about emotional education during the week. Im looking forward to the exciting and stimulating conversations we will have.

This weekend Im thinking about the need to embue Curriculum development theory with the holistic transformational concepts that are being developed in Indigenous academic around the world.

What are your thoughts.

Kia Ora Lee,

I agree with the ideas you are thinking about this week-end.It means for us the need to apply emotional competencies curriculum development alongside kaupapa Maori concepts to effect/ affect transformation in our various Maori/ Indigenous settings.

Hi everyone, its Monday morning, November 19 and I watched an old movie on the weekend; Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee said an interesting thing during the movie. He said, "Emotions can be your enemy". In researching the comment this morning I found an interesting quote attributed to Bruce:

Emotions are your enemy. When you get into emotion you lose your mind" When you lose your mind you lose your focus, when you lose your focus you lose you ability to perform at your peak

This comment raised the question: How do we focus our emotions so that they contribute to the achievement of our learning goals.
